VISTA Ultimate 64-bit NOT Supported |

| Due
to Microsoft failure to assure backward compatibility of Vista 64
with previous Windows 2000/XP - SMI products are NOT currently
supported on 64-bit. We are looking into the compatibility issues
and will report in future if they become suported.
An O.S. supplier's failure to assure backward compatibility is
NOT considered an 'SMI problem' - as SMI had nothing whatsoever to
do with creating it. Such incompatibilities due to others are thus
not 'covered TSA' incidents.
We recommend Windows 2000/XP. We believe certain DELL models may
still be ordered with Windows XP installed. Check DELL.

Expedite
3D, our graphic Design, Manufacturing, and Verification CAM
programming system for N/C and CNC Machining, has been newly re-compiled and updated for Windows 2000/XP!
Unlike others, Expedite 3D has its roots in Manufacturing and N/C
CNC machining. Its not an 'add on' to a Drafting package.. Check out
the difference.
Hardware Security (dongles) have been replaced with our standard
Software Security used in other SMI Products (NICAM, Intellipost,
etc.). You can now Download a full-function 30-day Trial of Expedite
3D!
If you are an existing NICAM, COMPACT-II, or APT user, you also may
wish to 'take a look' at the new E3D V8.2.2. E3D uses the 'circles,
points and lines' approach to geometry creation you are already
familiar with. Plus, for NICAM Users, it interfaces with your
existing Intellipost 6.0 Post Processors..
Existing E3D, NICAM, and Intellipost Users receive Discounts,
should you decide to purchase after your evaluation.

have always had trouble explaining all this to potential prospects.

contact info included. Unless you specify you want this included – we will
attribute to ‘Bill in Topeka’ or similar generic by-line.
Please remember that some organizations – large ones
particularly – have rules about accepting any Honorariums. You may wish to
check on the rules for your company – we don’t want anyone getting in
trouble. There may be limits on the amount, or a requirement that it be
given to Charity. There may be a requirement to have your article reviewed
before submission to assure nothing proprietary is included. There is almost
always a requirement that you ‘do it on your own time’.

Telephone Support now

| In order to accommodate
our rising number of global customers, we are increasing our hours of
manned telephone support to 10 hours daily, from 11:00 GMT (6:00 AM US
EDT - 3:00 AM US PDT) to 21:00 GMT (4:00 PM US EDT - 1:00 PM
US PDT) Monday through Saturday. We are also increasing our monitoring
of email support requests. Emails to smi@aii.com will be monitored around the
clock.
We strongly suggest utilizing email support at smi@aii.com for
all initial support requests. Email support requests from current TSA
(Technical Support Agreement) customers receive first priority. Our
objective is to answer all such email support requests within 3 to 6
hours after receipt. Telephone requests should be answered no later than
24 hours after verbal submission. |
